I was lucky to get my education in Moscow Chemical Lyceum, the host of International Students Science Fair and one of the best high schools in Russia for chemistry. There I had a chance to study organic chemistry, physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry in college-level classes. Right now, I am enrolled in KAIST, which is ranked 41st best university in the world by QS ranking. Here I am going to pursue a double major in chemistry as well as biology and plan on becoming a tutor in these subjects for the upcoming freshmen students.
I founded the School Student Support Club at my high school and organized classes in chemistry, biology, and mathematics for peers, acted as a teacher for the group of 8 students, trained 2 classmates to instruct others. I individually helped students to prepare for retaking 4-hour exams in general chemistry and calculus required by my school. Having tutored myself in the majority of subjects I can understand which topics may cause the most confusion and can provide the lessons covering the most challenging material in greater detail. Finally, after my experience in tutoring, I've come to understand how to implement the key qualities of a teacher. I am a patient person, so I am always open to all the questions the student may have, and for me, it is essential that the student will come out of the class with a deep understanding of the topic and with well-developed intuition behind the studied subject.
