It is desired to generate a clock signal controlled by a signal called Long/Short such that the duration of a control step is twice as long when this signal is equal to 1. Assume that the control step counter has an Enable input and that the counter is advanced on the positive edge of the clock if Enable = 1. Design a circuit that generates the Enable signal to vary the size of the control steps as needed.
