This activity requires students to complete a diagnostic. To save class time, the questioner could be assigned as homework. This exercise is scored by the student and contains no specific discussion questions. The exercise may be used as a springboard into numerous areas, examples of which follow.

• Students can be asked to volunteer their preferences and why they think they were scored the way they were.

•  Students may be asked what style is best and if they believe preferences can truly be changed.

•  In an extended discussion students can be grouped with other preference types and sked to solve a problem on their own then discuss the direction chosen with members holding another orientation.
