Suppose that one control valve has a large Cvalue, that the other has a small Cvvalue, and that the flow controller will primarily adjust the smaller valve while also making occasional adjustments to the large valve, as needed. Which of the two alternative configurations in Fig. E9.7 seems to be the more promising: placing the control valves in series (Configuration I), or in parallel (Configuration II)?
