Despite the simple sounding statement, "Everyone has a right to education", education is a complex topic. If you've followed American news, you've seen the challenges the new presidential administration had in naming a secretary of education and the challenges they continue to face as they announce their educational agenda. And we're just one country.

Challenges to education arise from differing agendas, socio-economic statuses, resources, etc.

Using two or more resources, write an essay answering some of the following questions: What is the purpose of education? What are some of the challenges in enforcing the "right to education"? What is the value in education? Where does the "right to education" end? Or, does it? (Meaning, is there a point where you can say someone has "enough" education and therefore any additional education is a privilege not a right?) Does education only happen in schools? How do we determine a baseline for education? Is there (or should there be) a standard? What does education look like in the 21st century? Include at least 1 paragraph about the state of education in Germany.
