Perform an assessment of the retail industry by providing a "porter's five forces analysis." how much profit potential does the industry have and what are the "critical factors" or key objectives that successful retailers must focus upon?

Perform a financial comparison between Wal-Mart and Amazon. use the ratios evaluations you find by analysts on the internet. Where does Wal-Mart hold the upper hand vs. where does Amazon have better performance? Where do each face challenges?

Most importantly, if you were advising the CEO and top management of each firm, tell me specifically what you would do to greatly improve areas of weakness and take advantage of areas of strength or potential strength. What major initiatives would you institute and why? it may look like a lot but it's not.
