The most important requirements for ongoing success in the Operations Managers role is being responsible for managing the process of creation of goods and services (Operations Management Defined). Operations management is the central core function of every company. It doesn't matter what the type of service the company's providing, operations managers are the heart of the company. Two of the key themes in management of strategic relationships are competitive and global strategies. Both of these key themes provide accurate information on the processes of keeping the company on track and profitable. I believe the most important requirements for ongoing success of the OM is to have continuous communication with partners and investors along with keeping up with demands and competition. In our world there is rarely a company that exclusively sells or provides a product or service, for example, AT&T and Comcast both sell internet, cable television and more. These two companies are constantly trying to out sell each other by providing get promotions to new customers. One of the problems problem these companies shared was they were not providing current customers promotions, which I think have been corrected. This is all part of the strategic relationships companies have with their customers.
