Which operating system is more secure – windows or Linux?

Research on security features provided by two widely-used operating systems, windows and Linux, Based on your findings please write a two-page report (single-spaced, not counting figures, tables, abstract, and references) and answer the question. Since the topic is broad, you will need to limit your discussion with a specific version of the two os.

You will also need to focus only on one or two security features, such as access control or user authentication. The smaller the topic, the more in-depth discussion you will be able to deliver. Try to separate security issues of an OS from those that belong to applications running on top of it. It is fine if you do not reach a concrete conclusion.
