Does the example suggest a biological, psychological, or critical/cultural approach to understanding gender development? Explain your assessment. Use scholarly research to inform and develop your ideas.

Part 3: Critique the theoretical assumptions that underlie the example.

• In the given example, what are the benefits and/or downsides of portraying gender development in this way? Is anyone advantaged (or disadvantaged) by these theoretical assumptions?
