1) Did you learn English as a Dual Language Learner? Explain how you learned English. What was it like learning English and when did you learn it? Easy, Difficult? What is your first language and what was your experience like in school? Did you live in a country where your home language was the language of school? Explain.

2) What is your experience with working with children whose first language is not English? Describe any challenges or successes that you witnessed or experienced? Were there children who did not understand you and if so what did you do about it. What do you think of bilingual education? What do you think should be done in USA early education programs to assist children whose first language is not English?

3) Have you ever tried as an adult to learn a second language? What was it like and was it easy or difficult? How long did it take you to learn the second language? If you have not learned a second language why not? If you could learn to speak any second ( or third) language fluently what would it be and why?
