Benjamin Franklin's 13 Virtues

According to his autobiography, at the age of 20 Franklin identified thirteen virtues

which he strove to uphold. (Here we list four)

Temperance. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.

Silence. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.

Order. Let all things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.

Resolution. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
