	Lucy, a case manager, is meeting with Josie today for the first time. Josie is an Indigenous Australian who needs case management for a range of issues. Lucy invites Josie to sit down and offers her a cup of tea. Lucy talks with Josie about her day and takes time to let Josie settle in and relax. When they start discussing Josies reasons for being there, Lucy encourages Josie to bring a support person with her if she would like to. Lucy also asks Josie if she would like for Lucy to contact an Indigenous Australian health professional to assist in developing the case management plan. Josie agrees. Lucy explains Josies rights to her, including her rights of appeal and how to lodge a complaint if she needs to. Lucy gives Josie some information to read concerning the proposed management of her issues.
