BACKGROUND OF STUDY Even in the twenty-first century, gender relations are a touchy subject. Many people are unprepared for this topic. Gender relations, according to (Bravo-Baumann, 2000), are the manner in which a culture or society defines men and women's rights, duties, and identities in relation to one another. It is no secret that many women in the mid- nineteenth century fought valiantly for other women's right to vote and work. Women's suffrage was first granted in Ghana in 1954, although it was later awarded in Zambia and the United Arab Emirates in 1962 and 2006, respectively. Gender disparities result in a variety of discriminations and economic imbalances, including health-care discrimination, limited access to basic requirements, unequal educational chances, and low power in all aspects of life (Ashraf, Haq& Ashraf, 2017, Choudhry, Mutalib & Ismail, 2019a). As a result, economic instability develops. Many Ghanaians were unaware of the issue of recruiting women in the workforce. The problem occurred when women were paid less or were assigned to lower-paying jobs than men, despite the fact that many of them had the same or greater skills and abilities. In the twentieth century, howev more women were given the opportunity to pursue higher education and well-paying jobs. However, this did not eliminate the gender bias that women suffer. According to the 2021 population census, women make up 50.7% of the labor force. They are, however, concentrated in lower-level economic activities such as hawking, wholesale and retail fishmongering, and agriculture (fish processing, animal husbandry etc..) As a result, women are less likely to have a positive impact on policy decisions. This is still a problem in the twenty-first century
