Question: A group of volunteer engineering students are determined to keep the beaches around the city of Toronto clean to provide clean and affordable beach access to all the residents in the city. As part of this initiative, this group of volunteers are working towards picking up the garbage from around the public beaches using a tool they have created. This tool (see the figure below) includes a long handle and a vertical shaft that could be used to pick up the trash without the need for bending down, reducing the strain on the worker's body. The shaft of this tool can be powered by an electric motor to rotate. When 0 = 0, this tool can be used to adsorb small trash pieces. Pushing to 0 = 90, this tool can be used to pick up trashes. When in the mode of adsorbing, the vertical shaft is rotating with an angular velocity of 3 rad/s at 0 = 0. When picking up trashes, a force F needs to be applied to the collar so that 0 = 90.
