Democracy requires vigilance and the right to vote is the bedrock of liberty, controlling one's destiny, and even physical security. Young people and students have always been at the forefront of social and political change in the U.S., as evident in the Civil Rights Movement, #CanYouHearUsNow slogan, #LiabilityoftheMind campaign, and Black Lives Matter. Examine issues such as: o How are people mobilizing to promote equity, individual and building community resilience e ? o What problems are these actors or groups seeking to solve? o What evidence and tactics do they use? Include methods of increasing public awareness and political pressure. o What policy or other changes do they promote? o How do they coordinate with others to create inter-sectional solidarity and a broader movement for change?
