A Hazard Assessment involves five steps in the following order: STEP $1$: Look around the worksite and identify the risk or hazards associated with completing the task. STEP $2$: STOP and THINK about the task, the way you will complete the task, what could happen to you or to others and the precautions you are planning to use. STEP $3$: Assess or determine the severity and likelihood of the risks. STEP $4$: Once these steps are complete, it's safe to start work. STEP $5$ : Implement controls for appropriate for each risk.
