A ship 306 m long and 12m width moves in sea water, whose density is 1030 kg/m³. A 1: 100 model of the ship is to be used in wind tunnel. The velocity of air in the wind tunnel around the model is 50 m/s)and the drag resistance of the model is 60 N. Determine the possible maximum velocity and drag resistance of the ship in sea water. Also determine dimension of ship model. The density of air in wind tunnel is given as 1.24 kg/m³. Take the value of kinematic viscosity for sea water and air as 0.012 stokes and 0.018 stokes respectively.
