If you are using work for your example, when choosing which metrics/measures to include, think of your department/facility. What do you need to track to have your finger on the pulse of what is going on so you can improve performance and outcomes? This could be operational, clinical, and/or financial. If you are creating a dashboard drawing from your personal life--what kinds of things do you track ie daily or weekly?
