According to Peter Moskowitz (How Gentrification Works) the process that has been called "gentrification" usually takes place in at least three (3) stages. A) Discuss the different stages of gentrification as it is described in this chapter. B) In cities/urban areas where neighborhoods have become "blighted" or poor, the process of urban decay is typically gradual. However, the changes and "gentrification" that took place in New Orleans was very different. Describe how this process took place after August 2005, and why (both the process and the people) it was very different from different than the usual process of gentrification. C) Explain how both the residents and the school districts changed in New Orleans.
