18 Experimental Test 3: The Benedict's Test, continued Locate the beaker that contains the Benedict's reagent. Use a new DP to draw up some Benedict's reagent, and dispense some into the TT #3 containing the glucose sample. Dispose of the DP. Next, drag the TT to the mixer, and lower the TT into the top pad on the mixer. After the mixing is complete, return the TT to the row of TTs and observe the result. The figure below depicts a positive Benedict Test result (orange-red). A negative result does not show this color. A positive result for the Benedict Test indicates the sample contains a reducing sugar.
