When I worked in the bakery I had many roles, when I was hired I was told that everyone does everything and we worked together as a team. The problem was that when the cake case was empty, the orders were not made it always came back on me. I was yelled at because the case was empty, and the orders were not all done. I made it clear to my supervisor that I would not be held responsible for something that was not mine it was all of ours since that was what I was told in my interview. The others in the bakery would get mad when I spent my day working on cakes. I did get my meeting with a promotion and raise after I told them I would not be responsible for the cakes. I realized after that all I had to do is stand my ground and fight for what I wanted and so I did that. It brought me all the way to management. I knew that my decision-making abilities were going to help me when it came to the tough decisions that I had to make.
