AGREE OR DISAGREE Going into this program I wasnt sure what to expect. I had an idea of what the courses would be like, but I wasnt expecting the self-evaluation of my leadership style as a leader. This course has changed my approach to leadership because of the self-evaluation and understanding more about what is needed to be a good leader. Im familiar with my style and Ive related my success as a leader in the corporate world and other leadership roles with what was expected in an organization that had its culture and the mission to attain the goals set. That was easy to adapt to while learning how to enhance my leadership skills. As a leader of my own organization, I find that reflection of my leadership style now has made me want to change my approach to leadership. How I get my followers to follow in a more inclusive way and being open to feedback from the people around me. Being the head of an organization, a founder, CEO or any other principle puts you in the position to create an environment that everyone is expected to do as they are told (Muhammad,2023). A transactional leadership style doesnt show favor to those following you, helping you to produce, and be a good leader or even formulate good followership. Applying the knowledge of the SPL model to address contemporary leadership problems in my own organization will look like keeping myself and my team aware of social change. It will also be important to follow technological innovation and the sensitivity of inclusivity both in and out of the workplace. Planning ahead of the possibilities will also help with addressing contemporary leadership problems.
