An action filed in state court is removed to federal court pursuant to 1441(a) because one of the claims in the action involved a federal question. The other claims in the action are state law claims which are so related to the federal question claim that they form part of the same Article Ill case as the federal question claim. After a careful statement based on 1367(c), the federal court elects not to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the state law claims and remands those claims.
