Identify what was the problem with this element of communication.

Identify at least $1$ of the $11$ communication strategies that could have helped prevent the problem from happening. A group of students are working on group assignment. Their names are Mike, Ahmed, Jordan, Amandeep, Lorri, Hyoun Joo. The class they're doing the assignment for is in person but they weren't able to find a time to work together on campus, so they set up a meeting on MS Teams to work on the assignment.

Only Mike and Ahmed have their videos on$.$ Everyone's microphones are on even if they're not talking and there's a lot of distracting noise coming from someone's house $($is that a goat at Mike's?$).$

With so many people and no clear agenda for the meeting, everyone is either silent or talking over one another as they try to have side conversations like they might in person around a table.

Mike and have Amandeep this conversation in the chat instead:

Mike: $$Why don$$t we type out all of our notes on an Office $365$ document so we can, like share it all together and stuff?$$

Amandeep: $$No$,$ just give me your notes and I$$ll look at them.$$

While Mike is looking for his notes, which he hadn't put in the meeting chat yet, a few of the others have a bit of a conflict over their microphones.

Jordan: $$Why didn$$t you use headings on your notes like we agreed?$$

Lorri: $$I thought you said to$...$

Hyoun Joo: $$I DID use them, and somebody copied all of their notes from Wikipedia or something.$$

About $10$ minutes into working, Ahmed and Hyoun Joo realized that they actually did the same part of the assignment, so the work was duplicated.

Ahmed: $$I thought you were going to read section $3$ and I was going to read section $4.$

Hyoun Joo: $$I didn$$t read any of it$.$ It was too much. I didn$$t know where to start. Section $4$ was easier.$$

Both seemed really frustrated by this and they didn$$t seem to interact much for a little while; Ahmed muted himself and seemed to have turned off his notifications. But eventually they decided to work together to put their notes together into a new version.

Lorri texts Mike to complain to him about Jordan. Apparently he posted something about "working with people who are totally useless" on Snapchat. Mike ignores the text because he's not really sure what to do about it$,$ and he doesn't care anyway.
