Lets create a personal mission statement to help you clarify your reasons for enrolling in college. A good mission statement will be helpful when you need to introduce yourself and remind yourself of your focus and goals. Your personal mission statement is your calling and purpose.
Your mission statement should make a statement about:
- Who you want to be.
- What you want to accomplish.
- How you will do it.
Great mission statements are:
- One short sentence.
- Simple to say.
- Easy to remember.
Here are a few examples of good mission statements written by college students:
- My mission is to be an elementary education teacher, uncovering potential in children with kindness and fun.

Use these four steps to help yourself write a good mission statement:
