Are you agree or disagree with the answer and why? Is the United Sates a melting pot? Are we becoming a blended nation with common traditions? If we are a melting pot, why such a need to talk about diversity? I believe we are a melting pot, we have a vast amount of cultures and traditions in this country with a freedom to practice them. However, I don't think we are becoming a blended nation with common traditions. It could be argued that things like fourth of July or even Thanksgiving are common traditions in which i may even agree but my question is, if we are a melting pot where various people from other countries come to and they don't celebrate those examples that americans might view as traditions then can it be considered a COMMON tradition? I think the talk about diversity stems from being a melting pot mostly because we just have so many different beliefs and cultures going on that they begin to clash since some views don't line up, The talk about diversity is more so to get people to stop pushing opposite beliefs on one another and understand that just because your culture says one thing isnt ok doesnt mean another culture deserves to have that belief taken away.
