As a supervisor$/$manager$,$ you do not always have the luxury of hand picking your team. You will likely have a very diverse group of people to manage, to bring together as a team, and to motivate and support. With great diversity comes many challenges, some having nothing to do with the work you're tasked with completing, but still important in making your team or department work well together. This movie is a good example of bringing a diverse group of people together, from coaches to players, to put together a team that works together toward the same goal and supports each other. Though you will encounter many different types of diversity in the workplace $($religion$,$ politics, culture, race, sexual orientation, etc$),$ this movie is a great study using racial diversity as the basis for bringing people together and motivating a team to pull together.

What were the main contributing factors in getting the team to bond and work together?

When the team won mid$-$season, it helped to strengthen their bond. What affect would a loss have had on the molding of the team at that point, and how would you address the issues in order to keep them motivated?

Coaches Boone and Yoast are also teachers. How do they teach the players beyond the football field?

Coach Yoast was accused of being "soft" on the African American players on the team. When you are responsible for employees who are of a different culture, ethnicity, religion, or those who've experienced bias, and you do not understand everything they may be dealing with from those perspectives, how would you try to remain consistent and fair while also being considerate of diversity.

Compare and contrast the motivation and coaching styles of Coach Boone and Coach Yoast. Is there one that you felt was stronger than the other? How did they form a team among themselves in order to lead this football team?

Respect plays a large part in leading employees and teams, as well as among employees and team members themselves in order to be successful. How is respect addressed and reinforced in this movie?
