As discussed in class, please watch a portion (or all if you want) of the Super Bowl Game on Sunday, February 13, and consider the following:

1. What is the importance of the competence of the participants?

2. How are the three levels of strategy planning and implementation demonstrated by the teams and the participants?

3. What is the relevance of the need to exceed and/or out perform the competition?

Review the reference material, "Councilman on Organizational Culture", IBM Culture, and the information in the textbook, Chapter 8. Please respond to the following questions: 1. Provide an example of an organization that you have been a part of, or one that you have heard about, or ask someone you know about their organization.

2. Using the concepts in the textbook to analyze that organization's culture and/or structure;

a. what are its strengths and weaknesses?

b. what would you change? What changes would you make?

3. If you were the "boss", what type of organizational culture would you install in your organization? Explain why you prefer that type?
