As I was moving through the decision process in the simulation, I was thinking about the potential outcomes from each choice, what was best for the country based on the demographics I had selected and trying to make the decisions before time ran out (sometimes unsuccessfully). I guess some of my thinking could be attributed to a servant leadership mindset. Mazzei (2022) highlighted Spear's ten characteristics of a servant leader and perhaps the characteristic of Foresight was one of those characteristics I was using in my thought process. One of my Clifton Strengths is Context, which is about understanding the past to move forward with decisions confidently and meshes with foresight, which is considered the ability to determine what might happen in the future, "by learning from the past, analyzing the present, and ascertaining the potential outcome of their decisions" (Mazzei, 2022). I think this is why the timing element of the simulation was a problem for me.
