Data File: Concert Sales (you can locate the file in Moodle underweek 1 assignment submission link.

Instructions:

For your first assignment you are asked to work with the data in the spreadsheet titled "Concert Sales" to demonstrate your understanding of descriptive statistics.

For example, you can run 10 measures from the below:

measures of central tendency(mean, median, mode, proportion),

measures of dispersion(range, variance, standard deviation), and

frequency distributions, rank and percentile, scatterplots and histograms.

Choose measures mentioned above and carry them out directly in the Excel spreadsheet. Our textbook has formulas and details of steps (for example, p. 17-30; p. 33), so read them carefully.With this task, you will practice 10 Excel formulas manually and demonstrate your competency of charting skills: scatterplots (manually) and histograms (manually or Data Analysis Add-on).
