Assignment 2

The Week 2 assignment consists of two parts.

Part1:

Reflect on a company, business or store you have shopped at in the past but no longer use. For example, you used Target or Walmart in the past, but you now avoid them no matter what due to a very bad experience; or you used to drive a Toyota but had major car problems so now you only buy Hondas.

Using the content discussed in Chapter 2 regarding competition and the reasons companys fail, what company failed you and how did that company not achieve its mission to satisfy you, its customer. What could the company do to earn your business back.

Write a short paper 1 2 pages using APA style.

Part 2:

During the class meeting we discussed the Sustainability Strategy as one of the key strategies in organizations. One example we discussed was Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream. Other examples are Walmart and Nike.

Using the material provided in the power point regarding the Sustainability Strategy, choose a company that has a strong sustainability strategy and describe how their strategy impacts the company business model, marketing approach, supply chain and the impact to consumers / customers.
