Background Information:

Organizations evaluate training programs for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is finding out whether the time, expense, and effort that was devoted to developing and implementing the training program was worth it$.$ Training is considered effective when the benefits that the trainee $($and company$)$ receive are noticeable and outweigh the costs of the training investment. Examples of trainee benefits are new skills or learned knowledge; organizational benefits are satisfied customers, higher profits, and stronger employee retention.

When you think about it$,$ you, as students of HR$,$ are trainees in West Chester's student development program. You are in the midst of one of the most classic, time$-$honored training periods of your lives. This course is a training on training, essentially. So$,$ for this assignment, I$\text{'}$d like you to evaluate this training. If you're not sure about that, it may help you to watch $($or re$-$watch$)$ the video on transfer of learning that applies more to educational settings. You will be provided with a sample Instructor and Course Evaluation form sourced from the University of Puget Sound. I want you to review the instructor and course evaluation form and answer the following questions:

What are the strengths and weaknesses of this evaluation form?

What changes would you suggest to improve the evaluation form? Are there different questions that ought to be asked? Should it be shorter$/$longer$?$

How should evaluation be used to actually improve the instruction that you receive? Professors receive their student evaluation results $($anonymously$)$ after a semester has ended, and their department chairs also receive those results. At WCU, student evaluations and feedback are incredibly important to professors, so if you could have a say in the evaluation process, how would you suggest it be done?
