Which has more weightage in operations industry - service or goods? GIVE EXPLAINATION TO SUPPORT YOUR ANSWER

• Operations industry is the industry which is involved in multiple operations of converting the raw materials into the final goods. In the operations industry, equal weight age is given to both the goods and the services. No additional weightage is provided to either the goods or the services, but equal weightage is given to both goods and services. The reason being that if proper goods will be manufactured using high quality raw materials it will add on to the additional benefits and goodwill of the business, but this will be considered as incomplete when improper and poor services will be offered to the customers after the goods have been manufactured.

On the other hand, if high end services is offered to the customers, it will add on to the image but the improper goods offered will create a problem for the customers, thus highlighting a bad image of the company, hence it can be said that importance to both goods as well as services should be given equally by the operations industry

Why firms are opting for product-service bundling ?

• Firms these days are opting for product- service bundling because the customers are now focusing more towards offering goods and services together so as to help customers experience a great deal of satisfaction. The firms are manufacturing the products under their own supervision as well as they are trying to offer services to the customers without taking the help of external service providers.

This collaboration and offering both goods and services at a time will help the customers receive high quality products with excellent set of services and the business will also gain benefit out of it as a more strong and loyal customer base will be created.
