Biomedical Engineering Question problem. Please answer correctly. The last couple questions posted, I got it wrong.

1.) As discussed in class, systems of springs and dashpots can be used to model the strain behavior of viscoelastic materials at different temperatures. Consult the diagram below and answer the questions that follow. a.) At t=0, a step stress is applied to the system above. Which of the components in the diagram above would deform instantaneously when the stress is applied? Briefly explain how you know this. (5 points) b.) If the step stress is held, describe the strain response after the instantaneous deformation described in part a., referring to the components of the diagram above as necessary (5 points) Hint: Will the material continue to deform? How quickly? c.) Assume that the material has reached its' maximum deformation (although material failure has not yet occurred). If the stress is removed at this point, how will the material react? Will it go back to its original dimensions? Explain how you can deduce your answer from the system model above. (5 points) d.) Sketch a strain vs. time plot for the system depicted above, and considering your responses for parts a.)-c.), (5 points)
