Consider the breadboard circuit shown below, which has a memory element made from logic gates.

The $4011$ has four NAND gates, while the $4069$ has six inverter gates. The pinouts for these two chips

are provided on the last page of this document for your reference. The inputs A and $B$ are labeled,

as are the states $Q$ and $\frac{?}{\text{b}\text{a}\text{r}}(Q).$ Don't panic $-$ we've only talked about a few types of memory elements in

class, and this is one of them!

$7\mathrm{.}1$ Draw the schematic for this circuit, labeling the signals, $A,B,Q,$ and $\frac{?}{\text{b}\text{a}\text{r}}(Q).$ You do not need to

draw any power connections.

$7\mathrm{.}2$ Fill out the truth table for this circuit. Since this is a memory element, the next state $Q+$ will

depend on the current state $Q.$

$7\mathrm{.}3$ What kind of memory element has been wired on this breadboard, and how should A and $B$ be

renamed to reflect this?
