BUSINESS CASE: The  Safety First  Insurance Company needs your service to establish a new IT network. 

Here are the parameters of the given case. 

The Company has a four-story office building in Fairfax VA. There are four offices in that building and a data room.  In each office, there will be

• 25 desktop computers
• 10 portable/laptop computers that need a wireless connection (WiFi)
• One network printer for all employees in each section.
• All office computers must have access to the network

In the Data Room which is in the building (on-premises), there are:

• Database for the customers, Database for employees
• Printer Server for the LANs, Web Server, and Email Server.

You should be developing and drawing network diagrams. Your name and the company name must be written on each diagram. You should label all network devices in your diagrams.

Question 1: (network diagram 1) Develop and draw a network diagram of LOCAL AREA NETWORK for one Office Section only. You will be presenting only one of the LANs in the building.

Question 2: (network diagram 2) Draw the block diagram to connect all LANs and the Data Room. All computers in the main building will be connected to each other with this network. All computers in the main building should have access to this data room as well.  

Question 3: (network diagram 3) Connect all computers in the main building to the INTERNET.

Question 4: (network diagram 4) The Company needs Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) from a cloud service provider to meet the increasing demand: Here are needed Infrastructure as a services (IaaS)

Storage (Archive):  The Insurance company has an agreement with the cloud service provider to keep the old customer data for future usage (archive). The old customer data will be kept for 5 years.

Web hosting: IaaS will be used to host the website of the Insurance company

Email hosting: IaaS will be used to host email servers for the Insurance company

Considering the future expansion of the company, you should use Infrastructure as a service to meet the demand. Update the network diagram in Question 3 and connect all computers to a cloud service provider via INTERNET connections to have IaaS in your system.

Use https://www.draw.io  to develop/draw network diagrams. And place them in your MS Word document.

In your network diagram, write your name on the upper right section of the DRAW.io diagram and export it as JPEG. And insert it into your answer.
