The process in working in Baltimore is I was tasked with engaging with the community, building relationships with community partners working with the local district council, identifying contractors in the paint, drywall finishing, and Glazing industry and opening doors of opportunity to the community. The problem that I found in Baltimore and also with the local district council was the lack of opportunity that we as a district council could offer to the residents coupled with the lack of work in Baltimore during that time. On top of the lack of opportunity was that 9 out of 10 contractors were against signing up to become a union contractor
