That's still not specific enough because it makes me wonder, well, what are the dangers of crack? You need to really look at the painting closely and figure out what he's trying to say with the images. What, according to the painting's imagery, makes crack especially dangerous? Does it ruin a person financially? Does it cause bodily harm? Mental anguish? Death even? Name the specific warning(s) that you think the painting is trying to convey. If you are analyzing a different painting, the same advice holds: get specific!

• Make sure you describe the symbols or images in your thesis that you plan to analyze in your body paragraphs. In other words, your thesis needs to name a couple of different visual elements or images that you think do the best job of conveying the message.
