Do some preliminary research on the mission areas in preparation for Week 6. Choose one of the five mission areas and supply the definition from FEMA. Then, identify a real-life project that is tied to the mission area you selected. In this paper, identify the selected mission area and why you chose it, plus discuss the project overview, highlighting the potential or actual positive and negative outcomes of the project.

Examples of real-life projects: 1. Mitigation: An area floods repeatedly and homes are continuously damaged. A town purchases the frequently flooded property, tears down the homes, and turns it into a park to reduce future flood losses. 2. Prevention: Addition of body scanners and extra guards for security improvements at the airport. 3. Protection: Tying down homes to their foundations to reduce damage from tornado winds in Oklahoma.
