Mohammed Ahmed and Mohammed Aziz are working in XYZ organization in Sultanate of OMAN. This organization had clear policies and procedures and corporate plans, this organization being one of the best managed companies. The functioning of the departments headed by Mohammed Aziz had been declining in meeting the targets and the high rate of employee turnover /absenteeism. Majority of them were dissatisfied over the way they were being handled by him. There was a breakdown of communication and complaints about the rude behavior and attitude of Mohammed Aziz. Mohammed Aziz, had been in this department for many years and was in the habit of treating his subordinates in the traditional style. The workers under Mohammed Aziz went to Trade Unions for their grievances and the Management was disturbed and Mohammed Ahmed was replaced for Mohammed Aziz. Mohammed Ahmed possessed the skills of managing different types of people under different situations. With his efforts, he was able to create a trust-bond with his subordinates. He allowed them to set time-bound goals for themselves. The subordinates were participating in arriving at the decision in regard to their production and productivity. A harmonious atmosphere prevailed in this department The Management and the workers are happy & the department paved the way in Improving the climate and culture of the organization.
