CASE STUDY - 10% David and Mark are doing a master's in Computer Science. These two young people are having financial difficulties and they are working in part-time jobs. Finally, they decided to use their programming skills. As a result of their long research on the Internet, they developed an app that they believed would be popular. But they did not know exactly how to market this app. They used their last money and immediately uploaded the app to Google Play and charged 100$. However, after 4 months, nobody bought the app and couple of people complained in the comments that it is too expensive. Also they stated that, they will download the app if it is free. One of their professors at the faculty said, it would be difficult for them to sell this app without a good PR work. Between millions of apps available on Google Play and IOS, it may take years for theirs to be discovered and be popular. Professor advised them to make the app for free and do a good PR. Question: Find a technologic solution for David and Mark to sell their app. The app has to be free. In this case, how David and Mark are supposed to earn money from each download? Your answer should be according to Strategic Business Objectives of Information Systems. PS: David and Mark run out of money
