Case Study: Kathie's Kitchen Kathie's Kitchen is a restaurant chain headquartered in Savannah, GA It started as a small restaurant in 1976 and has grown into a family style restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It currently employees 450 people in managerial positions both at the restaurant and headquarters level. While the work is hard and long, the pay and benefits package are well above average for its industry. Competition for restaurant management position is intense. Alice Stevens, an African-American employee, applied for one of the restaurant management positions.
