CASE STUDY Restaurant Management System A well-known bistro has been running in KL city for the last 03 years with a motto of we serve only quality". The restaurant is running with few operational difficulties which sometimes affect restaurant in satisfying their loyal customers. The owner is serious in making the business process effective to serve the customers in a minimal time & error. In this line, the owner is willing to set up a computerized Information System to handle the complete operation, thereby wants to implement a "Restaurant Management System". The system is expected to perform several operations which includes processing of orders, inventory, and generate reports and so on as described below in more detail. The food orders placed by the customers are processed and sent to the kitchen. The invoice is generated once the order is placed, and the customers are expected to pay the bill. Every order is clearly recorded for the inventory and sales report generation purposes. When a slack in the inventory is notified, the manager places purchase orders to the respective suppliers. The bistro manager is very cautious in maintaining all the inventory records for future references.
