(7) Men typically take responsibility for such non-routine tasks as household repairs, auto maintenance, lawn mowing, snow shoveling, and disciplining children. (8) These jobs do not require tight daily schedules. (9) Moreover, for some men, home and auto repair may be enjoyable hobbies. a. Compared to men, women who work outside the home are underpaid. b. Married women have much less free time than married men. c. Men and women are not equal where housework is concerned. d. Married women still do most of the routine, boring housework, even though they may also work outside the home.
