Choose a very simple product and create a simple QFD House of Quality matrix for that product. You may choose to create a simple QFD matrix for a cup of coffee, but any simple product will do. Keep the product simple because the matrix becomes very complex quickly as you work through l[JFDL Identify the customer attributes, their relative importance, and the engineering [or technical, in the case of services) attributes of the product. Include what you think are the customer perceptions of your product and competitor products. Do competitive evaluations. You can use Figures 3.4, 3.5 and 3.6 in the textbook as examples. Use an Excel spreadsheet or a table in Word for your matrix. QFD templates are also available onlioe. You may also draw the QFD by hand and scan it.
