They are specialized in providing HIV prevention, care and support in Sub Saharan Africa. I wish to keep their name anonymous. Hierarchical Structure: The organization has a hierarchical structure with clear lines of authority. However, they have an overly rigid hierarchy which hinders communication and innovation. Their decision making and problem solving is usually done without input from the lower cadre staff, especially in the areas the staff are majorly responsible for. The organizational structure ensured that these departments work cohesively towards the common goal of providing quality patient care, but sometimes the data monitoring team work in silos leading to delayed performance monitoring activities, inefficiencies, and gaps in patient care delivery.
