Class, Our discussion this week is about Evolutionary Psychology- how learning can explain changes in the brain, as well as show that cultural trends over time can affect skills that individuals in that culture develop.

our discussion will focus on evolutionary theory in regard to topics such as altruism, taste aversions, sexual jealousy, M/F differences in parenting techniques or mating behaviors, gender differences in cognitive and emotional behaviors, and even personality differences as related to cultural pressures. Consider the ideas of inclusive fitness and consistent scientific findings related to male promiscuity, female willingness to commit (sometimes to her detriment), homosexual and heterosexual behaviors. Cite evidence for your post. Keep discussion respectful. I want you to consider how much of our behaviors could be a result of evolutionary pressures over time.
