Click next, hide current information, display new information

I am working on developing a website for class, I am using Django to tie everything together. (below is a screenshot of current progress on live website)

Now what to do is add some html code that, so when I click the Open Filter Menu button, it hides all of the current information and displays new filters. I will show to an example of what it should look like when I click Open Filter Menu. Below is a screenshot of my wireframe and the expected result when I click the button.

My question would be then, what HTML code would I use to get the filter menu to hide itself when click, then displaying the new filter page? How would I set that up? Below is a screenshot of the HTML code that ends with the creation of the button
