1. My patient is a 23 year old male with no health concerns or complications. I believe it is important that i educate the family about his decisons regarding life support. The patient values his life and for him he would like to be on life support if it means he has a second chance at life but if the doctors say that he has no chance of full recovery then he would not like to continue. Edcuating the family about the negative affects and showing the family how the patient wanted to die with diginity is also important. I think that advocating for this patient will help give them peace and i believe it shows them how meaningful and valued their lives were. I would have the patient consider talking to a family therapist s they can all share what they are feeling in a safe space. I would also have the doctor come in a nd discuss all the options and explain what they mean to the family so that they can all have an understanding of the process.

2. The patient is a 23 year old female with no known illness or family history of illness. It can be hard to accept someone's wishes, especially when you might not understand or agree with them. It is important to respect the patient's autonomy and make them as comfortable as can be given the situation.
