I believe that within the next fifty years we will see a significant close in the gender wage gap. Many countries around the world already have laws in place to prevent employers from paying lower wages to women simply due to their gender, and I think/hope this is a trend that will catch on and become universal. Also, I believe that many positions that require computer work be done on site will be tweaked and become work from home positions. With that being said, I think jobs where the work is done completely remotely will become much more common within the next fifty years. I believe travel agents will be obsolete within the next fifty years. I say this because when planning my trip to Europe I saved at least 1,500 dollars by planning the trip myself, travel agents just dont seem necessary if I am being honest. I also think many factory positions will be obsolete sooner than fifty years. Most manufacturing work can be done by machines (machines can build other machines) and with all of the advancements A.I the need for humans in manufacturing is dwindiling. Lastly, telemarketing; online ads are taking over the role of the telemarketer and automated call machines fill the need for call in ads. I believe that we will see many new and exciting positions created in the tech field in the future. Be it in software development and testing or A.I development we will see a spike in new career titles and opportunities as it relates to tech.
